It’s about the journey.
Blog Post #3
Hello Families!
Welcome to our third blog post. We would first like to thank you for your patience while we create an environment that will encapsulate your child's imagination and bring peace and comfort to you as a parent, who desires quality child care.
We have hit some milestones on our journey to opening and would like to continue to share and bring you along with our journey to completion.
Our team is happy to announce that construction is complete!
It has been a long road, but we are happy that this part is finished!
Here are our next steps; we need to conduct an inspection with the Health Department. These inspections ensure that our rooms are up to code and safe for your children and our staff.
After this inspection, our center will need to be approved by State Licensing. This is what ultimately allows us to accept children into our center. Once this license has been obtained we will be able to give you an exact date.
Our team is working on making sure that all our waitlist families, as well as any future families, will have time to come and tour our center. We will go through all the steps to get your child successfully enrolled and ready for Little Mountain Climbers. Keep an eye out for that!

Blog Post #2
Hello Families!
Welcome to our second blog post. We would first like to thank everyone that has been supporting us through our new adventure. Without the help from our families and teachers we would not be able to make this possible. Our community deserves the best day care center for their families and that is why Little Mountain Climbers is working very hard to create the best environment for them.
We will be sharing updates from our previous blog post as well as some new photos and information about Little Mountain Climbers and the programs we are offering.
First renovation update: Our front lobby has gotten some new offices and flooring put in. We wanted to create an area that will make families feel welcomed. Our next steps for this room will be getting some textures on the walls, office doors, some lobby furniture, and an amazing mural that our artist has come up with that will bring the room together nicely. So, keep an eye out for that!
Second renovation update: Our infant rooms finally have walls! Well… frames, but that’s a start! Construction is still in progress, and we are so excited to see everything coming together.
We are excited for the opportunity to accept the Colorado Child Care Assistance Program. This program is a great help to families who need child care but may not be able to afford it. CCCAP has qualifying standards and those can be viewed in the link in the bottom of this blog.
The administration team at Little Mountain Climbers has extensive experience working with this program and has seen first-hand how it can be utilized to its fullest potential. We believe that every parent or guardian should have access to child care and this is just one of many ways that LMC will be able to assist in that.

Blog Post #1
Hello everybody!
Welcome to our first blog post. We want to share with you our renovation progress with some pictures. Our team has been working tirelessly to prepare a quality environment and program for future families.
Our building is located off Airport and Circle. Before we occupied the building, it was a charter school. We were searching for a building and one of our leaders had come across a building they thought would be fun to throw in the mix of so many other properties. To our surprise the building was perfect. Not only was the building once a school, but we had immediately learned that a church would also be occupying the same space as us. The name of the church is Story Church and their mission statement is “Your story matters”. The families we reach all have a story that they want to share and Little Mountain Climbers is the place we want them to feel comfortable sharing. Our demographic of families is that of lower income and inner city. Our mission is to provide excellent care for ages 6 weeks to 6 years old.
We have been working hard to organize our programs and rooms to benefit all children that enter our center.
The front entrance to Little Mountain Climbers is such a beautiful space. We will be adding offices to be able to communicate privately with families. We will have a lobby that is inviting and programs and resources families will have access to such as CCAP (Child Care Assistant Program), food banks, W.I.C. and CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program).
The infant room is the biggest room we are renovating. We will be building additional walls to break up the infant rooms into two separate spaces. This will allow us to care for up to 35 infants in our facility.
All of our rooms will be equipped with sinks, but our toddler rooms will have 1 bathroom added in each classroom to prepare and assist with potty training.
Little Mountain Climbers has been working with a local painter to create original pieces for each of our rooms. We are pleased with her hard work and dedication she has put into each creation. “I just want to create something that will make a parent's eyes go wide when they enter the room. I want each family to feel as if these paintings were created specifically for their child.”
We thank each and everyone of the people that has been working towards creating an environment that will encapsulate what quality care means in our city. We are still a work in progress and still have our eyes set on a future opening date, so please be sure to follow us on Facebook and keep an eye out for more posts.
